Elgin Family Eye Care primarily uses Google Meet for Telehealth visits. Meet video sessions are encrypted in transit and no additional software, apps, or account sign-ups are needed.
PLEASE NOTE: Telehealth visits need to be scheduled ahead of time by calling us at (847) 888-1555.

How it works:
When you call our office to schedule a telehealth visit, you will be asked to confirm your preferred email address. A link will be sent to this email address from elginfamilyeyecare@gmail.com (check your spam folder if you do not receive it). At your scheduled telehealth appointment time, you will need to open your email and click this link, using the device that you will use to participate in the video session. Usually, mobile phones or laptops are best, but you may also use a desktop computer if it has a webcam, microphone, and speakers. When you follow the link to the Meet site, click the button that says "Join Now." If you join the video conference and don't immediately see an Elgin Family Eye Care staff member, please be patient and they will join shortly.
